Built on Bedrock Demo Night June
We hosted a Built on Bedrock demo night on June 24th at the AWS Builder Loft in San Francisco.
It was a great night to see the latest in Generative AI from Bay Area startups.
The presentations including applications of agentic AI in employee productivity, insurance, technical support, code generation, deep research, and gaming.
Each of the startups who presented works with Amazon Bedrock — Amazon’s fully managed generative AI service.
The evening started with demos of Strands Agents, Amazon’s open source SDK for Agentic AI, presented by Ryan Coleman and Manoj Selvakumar.

Presenters
Brainbase
Brainbase, presented by Gokhan Egri, is the creator of Kafka — an agentic AI employee, or co-worker, to complete tasks. Kafka has a computer at its disposal so it can issue shell commands, access file systems, send emails, and use a web browser. Gokhan asked Kafka to look at his emails and give him a call to share a digest of messages. Sure enough, he got the call and Kafka read out a summary of his emails including key messages.
Cowbell
Cowbell, presented Amir Javaheri, is a cyber insurance platform. They are using LLMs to process emails and documents needed for underwriting insurance. They receive 300 emails everyday and those emails can have one to twenty attachments in a variety of formats, some of which are 200 pages long. Without LLMs, a team of specialists would have to go through all these docs to extract ~100 data points needed. With their Gen AI solution, they can extract the data needed, validate, and enrich it. What used to take days, now takes 10–15 minutes.
Resolve AI
Resolve AI, presented by Vasanth Balakrishnan and Varun Krovvidi, is an autonomous AI first responder for call incidents. Resolve AI analyzes different data points and logs and understands the systems to have context — tribal knowledge that has been accumulated over years.
Rosebud AI
Rosebud, presented by Lisha Li and Jason Agbebaku, is a vibe coding platform for games. Users can create 2D and 3D games easily via prompting. Lisha and Jason showed how easily it was to create a game — modifying the scenery, style, and adding elements including sound.
You.com
You.com, presented by Alper Tekin, is building agents focused on deep research. Users can research any topic and have PDF reports generated around it. He showed an example of collecting sickle cell data, running a Monte Carlo simulation on it, and generating a research report.
Zed.dev
Zed, presented by Mikayla Maki, is an AI code editor, founded by the creators of Atom. Zed has a following feature that lets you watch the agent’s activity as it opens files, rates them, and writes code. Users can also get notifications when the agent has finished writing the code. Zed also tests, debugs, and commits code too.
