Generative AI Demo Night
We hosted a Generative AI Demo night on November 12th in San Francisco at Wilson Sonsini.
The startups presented exciting applications of Generative AI in healthcare, product analytics, customer support, UX design, and voice-based agentic AI workflows.
The meetup was made possible by Wilson Sonsini co-hosting the event. Barath Chari, a Partner in the Technology Transactions Team at Wilson Sonsini, welcomed everyone and shared Wilson Sonsini’s experience in Generative AI.

Presenters
Aikium
Aikium presented by Venkatesh Mysore is a deep learning protein therapeutics startup launched from the Bakar Bioenginuity Hub at Berkeley. Traditional therapeutics are antibody based drugs that have to bind to your own proteins. Aikium uncovered another family of proteins that they can engineer into drugs, leveraging Gen AI. Proteins, despite their complex structure, can be expressed in a linear sentence of words — amino acids. They trained on the chemical composition of proteins to create a protein language model. With that model, they can create a “SeqR” protein to bind to the target they care about.
ClarityQ
ClarityQ presented by Orly Shoavi is a Gen AI product analytics platform. Product managers, and other stakeholders, can easily query all their website and app analytics data via natural language to better understand user behavior. For example, a product manager can ask how many users left a game within a minute of seeing an ad. They created a multi-agent architecture that leverages RAG and prompt engineering to understand the data and context, create a SQL query to get the data, and validate the result.
FutureHouse
FutureHouse presented by Jon Laurent is a non-profit biotech research institute. Their mission is to use Gen AI agents to automate biology research at scale. They have four main tools: PaperQA, WikiCrow, ChemCrow, and ProteinCrow. PaperQA is a RAG based literature research tool with PhD level accuracy. It uses Gen AI agent decision making to searches papers based on a query and uses LLMs to derive subqueries, rerank papers, and perform additional searches to generate an answer. WikiCrow generates Wikipedia style entries of human protein coding genes. ChemCrow is a language-based agent that can design and execute chemical reactions.
HalloSophia
HalloSophia presented by Markus Waghubinger is a platform that integrates human co-pilots with Gen AI agents. Even as Gen AI agents become more sophisticated and solve more complex problems, there are situations where human wisdom in understanding what it feels like to go through a process is needed. For example an AI agent can create a contract, but if the contract is part of selling a company or a divorce, the user may want a human for additional advice. The platform uses AI agents as the first point of contact and can loop in the most perfect human to help.
Iscoyd
Iscoyd presented by Vijay Nadkarni and Nikhil Nadkarni is a Gen AI mental health assistant for clinical practitioners to aid in diagnosis and treatment. Diagnosis in psychiatry is particularly challenging as compared to other areas of medicine. In other fields, there are blood tests, biomarkers, imaging and more. Whereas in psychiatry diagnosis is based on the DSM 5 book that outlines certain behavioral criteria for a diagnosis. Iscoyd leverages the DSM 5, research data, and trusted resources to help a clinical provider diagnose a patient, through a chat interface, and recommend medication that may be needed.
PxCode
PxCode presented by David Martin is a Figma plugin that leverages a Gen AI workflow to generate high quality, high-fidelity front-end code from visual designs. The target customers are front-end engineers and marketing agencies. The product uses Gen AI to intelligently name tags to be easily readable and understandable by engineers. Users can define their own naming conventions too. The tool generates responsive designs that can easily be tested and edited. The plugin exports to React, Vue, HTML, CSS, Tailwind, and Bootstrap.
Spinf
Spinf presented by Giampiero Recco is a realtime, Gen AI, voice enabled assistant platform. It features “agent-assist” type capabilities for customer support calls to transcribe calls, suggest responses, and update CRM systems. The browser-based plugin can be used to capture conversation and parse information into the correct fields on a website. Giampiero demoed capturing and updating information during a Scrum session using Jira via the Spinf browser plugin. The plugin can also be used to ask questions and receive answers from website content.
